Software & Tech Requirements - Skool Funding

Over the last 18 months I have spent a lot of time testing, trialling, researching and working out the best software’s available for teaching online. Micro Skool has found some amazing solutions, that are either Free or very Affordable for both Teacher and Students to use.

Whats needed for Both Teacher and Students is explained in the drop down FAQ style menu below.

WordPress Courses and Contribution Based Course Fees are the only expense, which covers my time (wages) and some of the Skool running costs.

The costs shown below are my set up and running costs for Micro Skool and are listed below for transparency, and to educate the reader on what options are available for everyone to learn and use.

Knowledge is freedom, education is essential, alternative education is thee only way forward in an ever so strange world we are now living in.

Join my up and coming trial WordPress Course… very soon…! 😉

Student Costs

After Subscribing and Paying for Classes and Courses:

Students are not expected to spend any extra money while learning and throughout the duration of the WordPress Courses at Micro Skool.

The only extra cost a student may have is the price of a domain name, if they wish to purchase one before the course starts or ends, but this is optional and not required. My servers hosting is set up so Students can create a new sub-directory on www.microskool.uk without the need to buy your own domain name.

This new Sub-Directory will then become your own Personal Learning Environment.

www.microskool.uk/StudentExampleSubDirectory (is what your website and learning portal will look like)

I do not class my Students as Clients, so while you are learning, your hosting is free. You are welcome to purchase your own hosting, I can point you where to go, this option is not recommended for WordPress Beginners.

WordPress Courses; Students and Teacher Assessment

Your websites will be continuously assessed, throughout every step of the Course.

Assessment will take place, during Live Training Days, the days we meet online, and during Live Classes.

Assessment will take place after Students have spent time completing Self Directed Study. Which is when you are learning and practicing creating your Websites, in your own time, without my direct instruction or guidance.

I have access to every students website, and can login, monitor and help from the Super-Admin area of the hosting and server.

The behind the scenes Teacher's Assessment will happen, without the attendance of each Student. And will be made during a scheduled course timetable and prior to an agreed date and time with each Student.

For example; - We make an agreed Date and Time... "I login to your website, at midnight, mid course on a Wednesday, which is when you are less likely to be logged in, and creating pages or content, or editing the website" and complete my assessment.

Feedback will then be given via the next Live Group Class, or via 1-2-1 Tutorials, via Telegram or Other Video Call options. And Yes... I work all hours when working with websites! 😉

Teachers Assessment is essential, and is just as important as a Student's own Self-Assessment, along with peer reviews, feedback and support, from all the other Students and Participants in each Class who are taking part in Your Course.

Every kind of assessment undertaken throughout the course, whether its from teacher feedback or peer review, will supply students with valuable knowledge and experience, embed confidence in what you are acheiving and provide life long skills and abilities, as well as unleashing Your creativity and abundance! 😉

After Course Completion

After your course has finished, you can then migrate your new website to your own hosting and domain name, and this I will teach you, as part of the 14 day course, and at the end of that course.

The last day of the 14 day course will be about Domain Names, DNS, The Hosting Account, Cpanel, FTP, Email, Installing WordPress, Migrating WordPress and the Security of Your WordPress Website. A very important and essential day on the course...

After the course has finished, and you are ready to migrate your website, this is when you will need to purchase and set up your Own Hosting Account.

I provide a 1 Day Hosting Training Course as an Add-On for setting up Your Own Hosting

The 1 Day Hosting Training Course - Add-On for setting up Your Own Hosting, is 1-2-1 ONLY. Due to Privacy and Data protection reasons.

During the 14 day Course, the Setting Up Your Own Hosting will be as part of the group, and also via 1-2-1. The day will be split. Students who wish to be part of the Live Training for Setting Up Hosting, and dont mind sharing the process Live, with the rest of the class, can volunteer. I will use my own hosting to demonstrate, but due to data protection, for other websites hosted on my server, I wont be able to show every section of Cpanel, hence the 1-2-1 session part, where I login to your freshly purchased hosting in private to teach you...

Creating a Brand New Hosting Account for Micro Skool might be the way I get around this... Then I can demonstrate the whole process to the whole class at the same time... keeping all my other websites seperate from the Skool hosting... all glorious food for thought! 😉

The hosting area is where lots of private and important data and content can be seen, stored and accessed, hence the 1-2-1 training only.

The 1 Day Hosting Training Course can be purchased seperately, as an add-on to any of the other courses that it is not already included in.

I will present all Students who complete a 7 day or 14 day Course with a Micro Skool Certificate! 😉

Both courses will provide you with the skills you need, to set up and run your own online business or creative project.

Long term study with Micro Skool, will enable you to teach WordPress like I do, and then you can join Micro Skool as a Visiting Professional! If you so wish! 😉 haha.
